FILEFIT · OWNER REVIEW DRAFT

Terms of Service

Last updated: 26 August 2026 · Effective date: OWNER DECISION REQUIRED

1. About these Terms

OWNER REVIEW DRAFT — NOT ATTORNEY-REVIEWED OR LEGALLY APPROVED. These Terms govern access to FileFit, a file-preparation service operated by OWNER DECISION REQUIRED: legal entity name, registration details, and postal address (FileFit, we, us). The effective date requires owner approval.

By using FileFit after these Terms become effective, you agree to them. If you use FileFit for an organization, you represent that you may bind that organization.

2. Service and processing choices

FileFit prepares files for selected destinations by validating and transforming them. It is local-first: eligible deterministic work can run in your browser without uploading file bytes. Tasks that require cloud capabilities are optional and require explicit consent or a valid saved preference before upload.

Cloud processing can use temporary object storage, queues, managed compute, and service metadata. Available destinations, transformations, limits, and execution methods may change as the service evolves.

3. Accounts and security

You must provide accurate account information, keep access links, sessions, and API keys confidential, restrict access to authorized users, and promptly report suspected compromise. You are responsible for activity performed through your account except to the extent caused by FileFit.

4. Acceptable use and prohibited content

You may use FileFit only lawfully and in accordance with these Terms. You must not upload or process unlawful, infringing, abusive, deceptive, malicious, privacy-invasive, or exploitative material; malware; content that violates another person’s rights; or content whose processing is prohibited by applicable law.

You must not bypass limits or security controls, probe or disrupt the service, misuse credentials, automate abusive traffic, reverse engineer protected service components except where law permits, or use FileFit to harm people, systems, or networks.

5. Your files, rights, and instructions

You retain ownership of files and other content you provide. You confirm that you have all rights, permissions, licenses, and lawful bases needed for FileFit to process that content and to follow your chosen destination and transformation instructions.

You grant FileFit a limited, non-exclusive right to host, copy, transform, transmit, and delete your content solely to provide, secure, support, and operate the requested service. FileFit does not use customer files to train AI models.

6. Outputs and accuracy

FileFit applies validation and deterministic planning, but outputs can be incomplete, incompatible, altered, or unsuitable for a destination. Destination requirements and third-party platforms can change. You must review outputs before publishing, sending, relying on, or deleting originals.

7. Availability, backups, and data loss

The service may be unavailable, delayed, changed, or discontinued, including for maintenance, provider incidents, security response, or capacity limits. No uptime commitment applies unless separately agreed in writing.

FileFit is not a backup or archival service. Temporary cloud objects can be deleted early or at expiry. You are responsible for retaining source files and any outputs you need and for maintaining appropriate backups.

8. Temporary storage and deletion

Local-only processing does not upload file bytes to FileFit. For cloud processing, uploaded and generated objects are temporary, are eligible for immediate deletion, and are targeted for application cleanup when their recorded expiry is reached; storage-provider lifecycle expiry is an additional safety net. Operational metadata and audit records can remain longer as described in the Privacy Notice.

Deletion can take time across active systems, retries, provider lifecycle processes, and backups. OWNER DECISION REQUIRED: approve the public retention schedule and any legally required preservation exceptions.

9. Billing and future paid services

FileFit offers Free, Pro, Power, and Business plans at the prices and usage limits displayed on the Pricing page and at checkout. Paid subscriptions renew for the selected monthly or annual period until canceled. FileFit does not offer a free trial.

Lemon Squeezy is the merchant of record for paid subscriptions and processes checkout, tax, payment, cancellation, and refund requests under the terms shown in its hosted checkout and customer portal. A cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the paid period unless the provider states otherwise.

10. AI features

Paid AI providers are disabled by default. FileFit does not route customer files to an AI provider unless a selected task requires AI, policy permits it, and a provider has been intentionally configured and enabled. Any future AI feature may require additional disclosure and consent.

11. FileFit intellectual property

FileFit and its software, designs, documentation, trademarks, and service content are owned by FileFit or its licensors. These Terms give you only the limited right to use the service; they do not transfer FileFit intellectual property. Open-source components remain governed by their licenses.

12. Suspension and termination

FileFit may restrict or suspend access to protect users or systems, investigate misuse, comply with law, address non-payment after paid services exist, or enforce these Terms. You may stop using the service and request account deletion through the approved contact process. Provisions that by nature should survive termination remain effective.

13. Warranty disclaimer

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, FILEFIT IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” FILEFIT DISCLAIMS IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND THAT THE SERVICE OR OUTPUTS WILL BE ERROR-FREE, SECURE, CONTINUOUS, OR SUITABLE FOR A PARTICULAR DESTINATION. RIGHTS THAT CANNOT LEGALLY BE DISCLAIMED REMAIN UNAFFECTED.

14. Limitation of liability

OWNER DECISION REQUIRED: qualified legal review must set a lawful liability cap and exclusions for the chosen jurisdiction. The intended position, to the maximum extent permitted by law, is to exclude indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, and lost-profit, data, or business damages and limit aggregate liability, while preserving liability that cannot legally be limited.

15. Indemnification

OWNER DECISION REQUIRED: qualified legal review must approve the scope and procedure. The intended position is that business users defend and indemnify FileFit against third-party claims arising from their content, instructions, unlawful use, or breach of rights or these Terms, except to the extent caused by FileFit or prohibited by law.

16. Governing law and disputes

OWNER DECISION REQUIRED: governing law, courts, consumer-law carve-outs, dispute notice process, and whether arbitration or another dispute mechanism applies. Do not accept or publish a jurisdiction by inference.

17. Changes and contact

FileFit may update these Terms for legal, security, operational, or product changes. Material changes will be communicated in an owner-approved manner and will state an effective date. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance only where permitted by law.
